Q: Does my registration in the Austin Fit Magazine Distance Challenge automatically enter me in the five races?
A: No. Runners must register for each race separately.
Q: What happens if a race is changed due to weather, or other issues?
A: To complete the series, participants must race on the rescheduled date.
Q: What do I get if I sign up for the Austin Fit Magazine Distance Challenge?
A: All registered runners get a custom printed long sleeve running shirt, entry into the Celebration Party, access to the Austin Fit Magazine Distance Challenge tent at the finish area of each race, and other surprises during the year. Also, your results will be posted on the series website so you can see where you stand for Overall, Masters or Age Group awards. If you are not an ARC member you will receive a One Year FREE membership non member defined as not active since July 2011).
Q: What else do I get if I finish the series?
A: A custom printed runners jacket, a Certification of Completion and a chance to win a trophy if you place in the Overall, Masters or Age Group standings.
Q: Do I have to complete all six races? What if I miss a race?
A: You must complete all six races to get the jacket, certificate and chance at a trophy. No exceptions are allowed.
Q: What if the website results are in error?
A: Email distancechallenge@gamail.com and we will try to resolve it immediately.
Q: When will the finisher’s jackets be handed out?
A: At the Celebration Party in March, along with the certificates and trophies.
Q: How much money goes to The Trail Foundation?
A: That depends on how many participants we have. The Austin Runners Club has no financial benefit from the series, nor do any of the six races, Austin Fit Magazine or any other supporters. All net proceeds go to The Trail Foundation.
