Group Runs

We are a running club.  We like to run. Put on your running shoes and join us on one of our weekly social runs or one of the runs from affiliated groups. The runs vary by distance and difficulty level, but all runners of all abilities are welcome. We're not out to race, but rather to enjoy a group to run with.  All of our runs are beginner friendly and free to all!

You will need a signed waiver.

The mileage and paces vary but these are generally fun, easy-going runs. Most often the route is on the Town Lake Trail but may go onto road routes occasionally for varying interest. It is dark at this time of morning, which is good for temperatures but may be bad for footing if you are not used to it.  Road runs can be hilly. The workouts are primarily fun with a lot of support from other Shipmates. At the same time, the workouts have an element of friendly competition.  If you attend on a regular basis, your running will improve and your list of friends will grow!

On the first Tuesday of each month, Dr. Sellers from Performance Wellness will be on-site for evaluations and questions.

If there is a football game at O'Henry Middle School, the group will meet on the west side of Bridle Path and Exposition, a few blocks north of the middle school.
