Group Runs
Put on your running shoes and join us on one of our weekly social runs. The runs vary by distance and difficulty level, but all runners of all abilities are welcome. We're not out to race, but rather to enjoy a group to run with. All of our runs are beginner friendly!
Monday Evening
When: 6:30pm
Where: Meet at Murchison Middle School. Located in the NorthHills Neighborhood.
Map: 3700 North Hills Dr
What: Group run with various paces, distance is between 4-5 miles.

The Monday Night Jam meets at the entrance to the parking lot of Murchison Middle School, under the shade trees. To get there, from Mopac, go west on Far West, left on Hart, and right onto North Hills.
The run route begins on North Hills just east of Thorncliffe (at Murchison Middle School) and includes the infamous Ladera Norte Hill, and a gradual fast downhill finish. Approximately 5.3 miles.
People can cut it short (and cut off the infamous hill) and still enjoy the fast gradual downhill finish. Approximately 3.6 miles.
Hilly course, carry your own water.

Tuesday Evening, Ship of Fools
When: 5:45pm
Where: Meet at Lake Austin RunTex at 5:45pm or at O Henry Middle School on Exposition at 6:00pm

What: Group run with various paces, distance is between 4-6 miles.

The track workouts vary in distance and speed and for extra fun, relays are a regular part of our track workouts. The Fast Group will typically run 2 to 3 sets totalling 2.5 - 3 miles overall. The Fun Group will typically run about 2 miles each night.
The workouts are primarily fun with a lot of support from other Shipmates. At the same time, the workouts have an element of friendly competition. If you attend on a regular basis, your running will improve and your list of friends will grow!

What: Varying hill workouts of 1.5 - 2.5 miles/night, Fast Group and Fun Group

The Thursday night hill workout group leaves the Lake Austin RunTex at 5:45pm. Some Shipmates can't get to RunTex by 5:45pm and they go directly to O Henry Middle School on Exposition where the warm-up drills start at about 6:00pm
The hills we run on vary in length and slope. Typical hill runs include multiple sets of 400, 800, 1000, 1200 or 1600M.
Saturday Morning, Ship of Fools
When: 7am
Where: Meet on the Town Lake Trail, Mile Zero
Map: Town Lake Trail, Mile Zero
What: Looking for a Saturday morning run? ARC members are welcome to join Al and Sandy Cumming, and Al´s Ship of Fools for a weekly run. Starting at the zero mile marker of Town Lake Trail. Varying mileage and paces, and they alternate Town Lake Trail and residential hills. Some runs can be hilly.

Sunday Morning
When: 8am
Where: Locations will vary each week as different members of the group take turns leading the run. Email Matt ahead of time for this week's location.
